Who we are

My name’s Hayley, and I created 2 Dogs as a way to build community while sharing really incredible coffee. I fell in love with the coffee industry in 2010 - when I started going to a local coffee shop after school most days. I was able to go and sit, study, meet friends, just be. I quickly took a deep dive into the nerdy parts of coffee - the pourovers, the dialing in, the different regions and roasts, anything I could get my hands on about coffee, I wanted to learn it. Coffee was the perfect way for my science brain to merge with my creative brain.

Fast forward to my late 20’s - I started to dream up the idea of what a personal coffee business could look like. I envisioned a way to bring people together, share my knowledge and passion for coffee, and most importantly make it fun.

The year I turned 30, I finally took the jump from the corporate health world into my long-term dream, and I jumped straight into the barista world. It was there that my love for serving people coffee only grew.

Coffee can be such a routine part of our day, and for me, it’s a big part of my morning. It’s a way for me to start my day slow, set the tone for the day, and I do it with our 2 dogs by my side. Every morning. That’s where our name came from, from our dogs Peppers and Ziva. A lot of us enjoy that first cup of coffee in the morning in a specific way - the tradition and act of pouring that first cup can be a beautiful act to start a new day.
